Rawle is currently certiﬁed as a personal trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is the chief operating ofﬁcer for Achieve Fitness. He holds a Stretch certiﬁcation from the Foundations program at Town Sports International. Rawle has been a personal trainer and sports coach for over 15 years. He has two years of management experience with New York Sports Club. Rawle is a tremendous athlete presenting the most prestigious of all athletic accomplishments. He competed as a soccer player in the position of forward for several professional teams around the world. Those teams include Flemengo in Brazil, Torino in Italy and San Juan United in Trinidad & Tobago. In the United States Rawle was the captain of the championship Division I club Juventus. He was also the leading goal scorer for two seasons. In 1999 and 2000 Rawle was named player of the year for his many contributions to the NYC Division I league. He is currently playing in the Cosmopolitan League for the New York Fury. Rawle has spent the last ﬁve years coaching youth soccer teams across Long Island for both boys and girls ranging from eight years old to eighteen years old. He is also a certiﬁed LIJSL soccer referee and a member of the NYC and Eastern NY State Senior Soccer Association. Rawle is a licensed coach through the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. His athletic prowess is founded on discipline and dedication that he truly exhibits with each and every one of his clients. His charisma and compassion are inspiring for both children and adults.
Dianne Sykes Scope
Dianne is the CEO and head exercise physiologist for Achieve Fitness. She has 12 years of personal training and exercise physiology experience and is certiﬁed by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She has eight years of health club management experience. Dianne received a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University. She is a Division I Track & Field athlete and Atlantic-10 Conference champion from UMass in the 400m hurdles. Dianne was appointed to the New York State Directorship for the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2004 and was published in the American College of Sports Medicine’s journal for scientiﬁc research on personal training effectiveness in May of 2007.
She has presented several topics in the ﬁeld of exercise physiology to health professionals throughout the country. Dianne interned at Long Island Cardiology Associates where she collaborated with a team of physicians to intervene in the disease process for many patients. Dianne’s fervor for health and science inﬁltrates every individual physiological assessment, personal training session, and athletic instruction. Her motivation, sincerity and knowledge aid in delivering the highest quality of care to patients and clients.
Sabrina Candelaria, MPH, RD, CDN brings to Achieve Fitness over ten years of nutrition experience as a registered dietitian with a clinical, academic, public health, and sports background. She has worked clinically for several major academic teaching and specialty institutions including Montefiore Medical Center, Miami Children’s Hospital, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, New York Presbyterian, and North Shore University Hospital. Sabrina holds national registration and New York state certification as a registered dietitian, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University. She also holds a Certificate of Training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management, and earned a Master of Public Health Degree from New York University. Sabrina’s passion for health and fitness evolved during the nearly thirteen years she spent as a competitive USGF gymnast from the age of five until her college years. As a gymnast she held All- American honorable mention and All-County honors, was a state qualifier on the uneven bars and vault, and held All-Conference honors as a varsity softball center-fielder.
Sabrina has enjoyed a career of diverse experiences, allowing her to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds in various educational and counseling capacities. Although her primary area of expertise and interest has long been pediatrics and sports nutrition, her experience encompasses both pediatric and adult nutrition care- including wellness, diabetes, weight management, gastroenterology, cardiovascular, HIV/AIDS, oncology, renal transplant, maternity, and neonatal nutrition.
Beyond her work as a nutrition educator and counselor, Sabrina has also been a columnist for two local parenting publications in South Florida, currently holds a freelance writing position for Demand Media- publishing primarily on Livestrong.com, and has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals. She has also appeared on national and local television programs including the “Cada Día” morning show on the Telemundo network, NBC 6 Miami Nightly News, and the PBS Nightly News Report.
Sabrina currently holds adjunct faculty positions at both Hofstra University and Molloy College. She comes to Achieve Fitness with a fervent passion for empowering others in learning to manage their health more effectively through nutrition and exercise. Sabrina’s mantra is right in line with the core values at Achieve, most notably “taking it serious and making it fun!”
